If you love the holidays and/or baking, this is the blend for you.
This classic German blend is typically used to make Lebkuchen cookies but we're not gonna tell you that's the only thing you should do with it. In general, we say to use this blend anywhere that you'd use cinnamon! For example, Caitlin puts it in her oatmeal in the morning when she wants to feel festive ;)

Kutchendoodles
1 cup shortening
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar (for rolling)
2 Tbsp Lebkuchen (for rolling)
Heat oven to 400*F. Mix shortening, sugar, and eggs thoroughly. Blend flour, cream of tartar, soda, and salt ~stir into egg mixture. Shape into 1" balls and roll in sugar and lebkuchen mix. Place 2" apart on baking sheet and bake for 8 ot 10 minutes.
